eSSIF-Lab advanced the uptake of Self-Sovereign Identity as an open, trusted digital identity for faster and safer transactions. OnboardSSI removed the usability barriers of early SSI wallets: AI-based onboarding without a human validator, verifiable credentials from existing identity documents, encrypted on-device storage and an Apache 2.0 licence.

GATEKEEPER connected healthcare providers, businesses and older citizens in a trust-based platform for smart, data-driven health services across Europe.
Deployed BehavAuth, replacing username and password logins in Active & Healthy Ageing services with passive behavioural authentication, improving security and user acceptance across four deployment sites.
ACTIVAGE was a 49-partner large-scale pilot on IoT services for older adults. BehavAuth protected health data by combining multiple behavioural signals, requiring no user input, and leaving users as the sole owners of their personal data.
The behavioural biometrics first validated in ACTIVAGE, GATEKEEPER and the border projects now protect banking and betting customers in production.
